Rehearsals
We rehearse on Thursdays at Jenks Church of Christ -- 2101 W 118st South
Primary Choir (ages 3 & 4) ~ 1:00-1:45 (directed by Danielle Dipboye)
Elementary Choir I (K-1st) ~ 2:45-3:30 (directed by Stephanie Holler)
Elementary Choir II (2nd-3rd) ~ 1:45-2:30 (directed by Stephanie Holler) Intermediate Choir (4th-6th) ~ 1:00-1:45 (directed by Jana Tollefson) Concert Choir (7th-12th) ~ 2:00-3:30 (directed by Jana Tollefson) Ensemble ~ 1:00-1:45 (directed by Rochelle Collingsworth)
Please be respectful of the church hosting us and the time given to rehearsal. The number to call for questions regarding rehearsals is 724-9301.
*If Tulsa Public Schools close due to bad weather,
then the choir will not meet.
Attire:
- Please exercise modesty when dressing for choir rehearsals.
- Refrain from bare midriffs and short shorts or skirts.
Incentives will be awarded to every child with perfect attendance (rehearsals and performances) for the year.
Performances
Attire:
Formal:
-
white button-down (oxford-type) long-sleeve shirt for boys
-
white long-sleeve blouse for girls (please no shiny material or large ruffles )
-
black, dress slacks for boys / black, mid-calf length skirt for girls
-
cummerbunds are provided at the time of the performances

black shoes
Informal:
Before, during and after performances . . .

Do not alter or change the formal attire in any way (i.e. untucking shirt, unbuttoning shirt to wear as a jacket, etc.).

T-shirts (for casual performances) are NOT to be altered in any way (i.e. rolling sleeves, tying up shirt at hip).

T-shirts may be tucked or untucked.
Code of Conduct:

Every member of the choir must faithfully attend rehearsals and all scheduled performances. Exceptions include illness or absence due to an unforeseen circumstance.

Choir members must be punctual to rehearsals and performances. Late students are a distraction to the class and will miss vital information that will be utilized in the remainder of the class.

Self discipline must be practiced during rehearsals and performances. Poor behavior hinders the positive experience of the choir for others.

Choir members are to give their full attention to the director or anyone addressing the choir.

Choir members are to treat one another and adults kindly and with respect.

Choir members are to enthusiastically participate in rehearsals and performances.
Rules of the Classrooms:
- No gum!
- No food or drink
- No toys or other items in class. Choir supplies only.
- Concert choir students should ALWAYS bring your music folder, theory folder, and PENCIL to each class.
